I am a freelance writer and storyhunter, previously Lecturer in Sociology at Princeton University. In my writing I endeavor to give voice to the silenced and unheard, with current and upcoming projects that include a book based on my Ph.D. dissertation, an edited volume of essays inspired by the photography of Walid Layadi-Marfouk, and an ethnography of a refugee camp. I am also involved in finding ways to improve education and employment outcomes in refugee and slum populations. I am represented by Jeff Silberman at Folio Literary Management in Los Angeles.

Away from work, I'm a member of SFMOMA, the Tate Modern and the Scottish Opera, and I remain Princeton Basketball's most devoted fan.
